The Seiko Lord Matic is a relatively underrated vintage line from the Japanese watch brand Seiko. Produced in the late 1960s to 1970s, the Lord Matic range is sits in between the Seiko 5s and the high-end King and Grand Seiko. Despite being aimed at the middle-upper market, Seiko Lord Matics are known for innovative designs and high quality.
This timepiece, the Seiko Lord Matic 5606-5080, is a perfect example of what the Lord Matic range embodies. With a peculiar design, this watch is something very collectible. It features a stunning blue dial, bar indices and hands, and a day-date at the 3 o'clock position. Perhaps the most unique feature of the watch is the faceted crystal. It gives the watch a different dimension, and this piece is in particularly good condition, which is incredibly hard to find.
Running on a 5606 automatic movement, this movement was produced in the Suwa factory and known for its reliability and accuracy, It is also one of the thinner movements that Seiko made.
