Hailing from the 1970s, the Omega De Ville Ref. 551.0066 is a classic beauty that exemplifies why vintage watches are only getting more and more popular nowadays. With a very popular Tank shape and a beautiful clean dial, this timepiece is one to keep and treasure forever.
The dial features a silver sunburst style that captures the light beautifully. It is relatively simple and clean, save for the baton hour markers at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock marks that gives the dial design a little flourish. The Omega logo sits at the 12 o'clock position, a hallmark of the Swiss watchmaking company this watch comes from. Sitting on a mesh bracelet and an original Omega clasp, this watch is paired easily with both formal and informal occasions.
This watch is powered by Omega's Cal. 661, which is known to be the smallest industrially manufactured movement, a record still unbroken today. With such a small movement, this sits on the wrist without much burden, and slips under the cuff nicely in a discreet manner.
A rare find that even comes with an Omega box, at a very reasonable price point, this is one watch that can be worn for decades to come. We are very sure it will be near impossible to curate one at such a price point again, so don't miss your chance to get your hands on this outstanding timepiece!
